The mobile operators have started the shutdown of the 3G network in Sweden. For those who use card readers that are dependent on 3G, this means that the reader will soon stop working. To avoid interruptions in payments, these devices need to be replaced with models that support 4G.

According to SKR: act in time
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) calls on all actors to urgently review their technology. The phasing out of mobile networks will take place gradually during 2025 and several operators will switch off their 3G networks completely on December 1, 2025.
"It is important that municipalities and regions pay attention to this technology shift and act to secure their operations," writes SKR in its information on the technology shift.
