Nayax has recently partnered with leading energy companies - Tadiran and Grivo to promote a greener future by offering a centralized payment solution for charging stations. This creates a unified and seamless experience for customers at public charging stations.
Nayax has developed a charging station and energy consumption management system (CSMS), based on the internationally recognized OCPI and OCPP protocols. Together with Nayax's advanced payment solutions, charging station operators can now offer their services globally.
In partnership with Grivo, a leading digital platform for charging services, charging station operators using Nayax systems can now integrate their stations with Grivo, reaching around 50,000 EV drivers via the Grivo app.
The agreement with Tadiran New Energy, which operates hundreds of charging stations, means that Tadiran can now offer credit card payment at its stations. Nayax's cloud-based solution makes it easy to connect a credit card terminal to any charging station, without having to integrate with the charging station manufacturer. One credit card terminal can also serve several nearby charging stations, such as pay stations in parking lots.
The electric car revolution is moving fast. In the first half of 2023, 52,445 fully electric cars (BEVs) were registered in Sweden. These EVs accounted for 37,3 % of the passenger car market during this period, showing strong growth for EVs in Sweden. Compared to the same period in 2022, when 27,831 electric cars were sold, there has been an increase of 87,3%. Despite the fact that there are now around 321,000 electric cars in the country, there are still major challenges in the industry. One of the main ones is the lack of uniformity and accessibility when using public charging stations, where each operator often requires a separate app. Nayax offers a solution that enables a unified payment method, without the need to download multiple apps.
